You can do aide work in a nursing home or a hospital. This will prepare you for some of the things that you will see and do as a nursing student. You will have experience with giving a bed bath and wiping dirty butts. That is what I did while I was in school and I learned a lot about what kind of nurse I wanted to be.

Join the US Army Reserve as a Lab Technician or a Hospital Medic. If you do it smartly you will have a large financial bonus, college paid for, but most importantly it will expose you to many experiences you wouldn't otherwise have. I am in the Army Reserve. Email me if I can help. David.

You can possibly get in as a Nurses Aide, or Surg. Tech.

Well, I know it's similar to a receptionist, but I use to work as a data entry clerk for a doctor's office. I really enjoyed it and learned so much. It might be a good start, even if not an ideal one.
