Well what exactly do you mean when you say RN diploma? What kind of diploma (AS, BS, or MS)? Usually people have their state RN license and sometimes also have an associates, bachelors, or masters in nursing. And yes it does make a difference if you have a BS or MS than just your state license because you can be put in a higher paying scale or at a higher RN step. It all depends on the hospital.

Your question is not clear. You can either get a Bachelors (BS) degree in nursing OR an associate degree in nursing (AS). There is no certificate in nursing. Both AS and BS you can become an RN by taking the licensing exam.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You don't get a diploma "in RN". You become one by passing a State test. A diploma could mean anything. An associates is a 2 year degree in Nursing, bachelors is a 4 year degree.
