This could be with 20 years experience. Note this is not starting salary. And it could be in a major city, where the cost of living is high. I have a family member that works as an emergency room nurse. That salary sounds almost right.

Regular staff nurses won't make this much except in rare circumstances. I know a few very senior nurses who are at the top of our contract's pay scale, and they work full time and pick up overtime consistently and make about $90-100k per year. To make this kind of money you'd need to be some kind of nurse executive / administrator or be an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP, CRNA, CNM).

Yeah some nurses make a lot... :P I just found out recently and slightly regret not getting into nursing lol. I always thought nurses make something in the 50k range.
