How much do medical billers get paid?

How much do u get paid while on medical leave?

  • does it depend on the company? I need to get a surgery done and haven't spoke to my HR department or boss yet but i was wondering how much you get paid while on medical leave?

  • Answer:

Somewhere between zero and full pay, depending on whether you have sick leave or disability pay available. Talk to your HR department, they can tell you what you're eligible for. And yes it depends on the company. Good luck.

Most companies don't pay you for medical leave. The law only says that they will hold your job open for a period of time and continue your benefits like insurance. If you have sick time built up you can use it, as well as vacation time. And if you have short term disability insurance and it applies you can use that.

depends on the company. Most companies will pay you only for the amount of sick and/or vacation time you have saved up. Under the Family Medical Leave Act, leave for surgery/illness must be provided, but can be unpaid leave.

using your sick leave you get paid your hourly rate, using short term insurance leave its usually 60%
