Those would be receptionists/clerks - and if that's what you want to do, you do not need a college education to do it - of course, the positions usually don't pay much say $15,000 to $25,000 a year.

You can get an associates degree in Medical Administration Assistant,,A lot of technical colleges offer this.
Usually they are referred to as either a Medical Receptionist or Administrative Assistant. They also usually don't hold a degree of any type.
