To be a CNA (certified nurses assistant), do u get drug tested?

Are you talking about cigarettes or marijuana? If you're talking about marijuana ask yourself. Would you want someone that was smoking dope taking care of your mom or grandparent? In order to get into a CNA program you will have to get a physical and you do get a drug screen. When you apply for a job as a CNA you will again be drug screened. If you are talking about cigarettes most hospitals now have a complete no smoking policy on the property.

i dont know if you'll get tested for applying for classes, but you will get tested upon applying for a job. and just beware that the training is very short, only a couple months long so be prepared

No you just have t have you money....I have my cna certification (not State License) and some jobs for home health care do not drug test you but to become state certified and to make more money at places like hospitals then you will be tested.

To a few of people below you are ignorant idiots. First of all what a person does on their free time is their own business, why judge. If a person is not high on the job an is a good worker it shouldn't matter. I like how people think pot is the devil. A person can pass a drug test and go home get drunk and beat his wife. Pot just makes you mellow. Nurses are the number one occupation that abuse prescription drugs. As far as being tested during school not in class, but maybe during clinical.

Yes. You're not fit to work in a health-care sitting. If you can't quit the reefer, get some help.
