There is nothing wrong with being a male nurse. Nurses are in great demand and get paid very well. If he is not so macho he can get over the title of "nurse" he will be able to do well.

A couple of years of education or less? Well, that pretty much rules out nursing, unless you are looking at the LPN route, which I would not recommend. An ADN will usually take 3 years. I don't know for sure how long the educational programs for things like lab tech or radiology tech are. If there is a community college in you area that has a focus on health care, your fiance should check out what programs are offered.

I'm not sure. If you don't want to be a doctor, how about a nurse? I've had to have surgeries before and some of the nicest nurses I had were male nurses. Sometimes they can be more understanding than female ones.
