They are generally Social Workers or some kind of Licensed Therapist. Both need Masters Degrees. Both start at a low salary and there is not much room for pay increases.

Pharmacy technicians, dental technicians/hygienists, and medical assistants typically are in high demand and make good salaries. Wages do range significantly around the country, so you can do a Google search for the specific position, wages, and the town or city you live in or possibly state if it is a smaller, less populated state. There are technical colleges and trade schools that offer training in the above careers and often offer grants and scholarships. You are still probably looking to at least 6 to 9 months of full time schooling and possibly more, but definitely less then becoming a nurse, pharmacist, or doctor.

My sister is a nurse and although it's a tough job with long hours she says nurses are very high in demand and as a nurse you can move anywhere in the US and find work. Oh, sorry-it does require years of schooling, though.

i dont think they make much money.. you could be a sphyciatrist but im thinking that takes a lot of schooling.. i would suggest being a nurse, you will always be needed, normal amount of school, and pretty good pay. my dad (a nurse) pretty much paid for 3 of us to go to private school from k-8 and 2 of us 9-12.. the bad part of nursing school is it can be very very very competitive to get into and its really hard. if your planning on partying through college, save your money and dont try nursing school... you know those kids who are in their dorms all night studying and not at the parties, those would be medical field students.
