Where can I find nursing programs in my area?

I'm a new graduate from nursing school in the San Francisco Bay Area and I can't find a job, any suggestions?

Try the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA Hospital). They need nurses and the pay is super! you have all the benefits and working for the federal government is good.

First have a resume ready.Then walk in to the local hospitals. Don't go to HR but straight to the nurse managers for the unit you want to work in. Tell them you don't have experience, but you are willing and ready to learn. Also try to get some info on the unit you want to work on by doing some research . Try to go to the hospitals you oriented in. go to allnurses.com they have a forum fo CA nurses, and also for new grads. They should also have tips to land a job. Good luck and welcome to nsg.

Look to Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. These states all have a shortage of nurses and all three states are wonderful places to live.
