I am a certified phlebotomist and ekg tech but can't get a job b/c no experience?

Where do you live because here a lot of hospitals are hiring nursing students I know the economy is currently bad but just keep trying and if you are certified in phelbotomy and EKG then go to a local temp agency within your city and apply(nothing wrong with a little white lie on the application) just so you can build experience anyway Take Care and God Bless

You won't get paid for it, but the best bet would to be to do an internship and after a while see if you can get hired, that'd give you some experience

i just became a registered phlebotomist and and im going to school to be a cvt its hard but you really just gotta rev up your resume as best you can and send it all over i was lucky bc the school i went to sent me on an internship and i was able to work there see if you can get a job as a medical assisntant alot of those have on the spot traning

Although you may not like the idea, start out with volunteer work in order to accumulate experience. If you dont have a job already, it wont take you away from doing something that is already bringing money in.

I am in the EXACT position as you!! I just became ASCP certified and doing the nursing route. Hmmm I'd be curious to see the answers... Could you ask your phlebotomy instructor about possible job leads for those with zero experience?
