There is not a nursing shortage, is there?

Go to California! The standard of living and life is better! AND needs more nurses, especially in the San Francisco Bay Area. From Monterrey to Napa and from San Diego to Santa Barbara, Nurses are needed. You will be needed badly. Also there are needed nurses in Hawaii and Texas too as well as Florida. Just make sure you are an RN and have at least a BSN with you or better. ASNs usually get knocked down if higher positions are taken and are full.

First Jobs are always hard in most any field. Keep up the active search and suddenly it will happen.

I live in california and it seems like all they are hiring for right now is for nurses, either RN or LVN. Maybe you need a change of scenery? Look online to see where the largest cities are :you are guaranteed to find lots of hospitals!> Like here in california :D do your own research and maybe it will be worth the move....

Sometimes it depends on the location. where are you looking?? There is a nursing shortage out there. and they were planning on getting people from asia to transfer here and fill those positions up. thankfully obama said no to this. just keep on looking, you'll find something and try networking. im not sure about teh whole experience thing but i guess you can try interning or something..

Perhaps you need to network. I know many nurses and those hospitals and home health agencies cannot keep up with demand for new nurses. Also, are you flexible with hours? This is a 24/7/365 type of job not just 9-5.
