Are my SAT scores good enough for these schools?

Do medical schools check high school SAT scores?

  • i want to know because im a high school sophomore and im going to take the SAT and im planning to become a pysician in the future.

  • Answer:

There is nothing about your high school that interests a medical school. No achievement, no deficiency, no grades or test scores. The only thing you could do in high school that would impact (negatively) would be to get arrested. The only positive would be to get involved in medically related volunteer activites. Your entire high school 'career' should be focused on getting into the university of your choice. You should take as many AP courses in science and math that you can, as long as you're able to maintain as high GPA. Involvement in sports, clubs and student government always looks attractive to the universities.

well they prbably dont. but they obviously look at what college you are in. .... stay in school!

No, they dont, Im a freshman in college now. The only thing your SAT scores affect are your admissions into the college. Medical school looks at your college grade and you have to take another test to get in. SATs are a big joke

probably, i wouldnt doubt it, but idk

bflau89

no they don't. once you get to college all records are basically 'wiped' but med schools will look at everything that you do in college.

Yes. You should take the psat first as i have. The psat is designed the same but doesnt count. You may take it as many times as u wish but for $50 each time. This is designed to show u how it is. This is also a good taste. When u r confident u should go and apply for the SAT

Your scores are usually on your college transcript. Medical schools get a copy of your transcript.

SATs are nothing to do with your future. It's to help predict your grades next year and helps put which classes you'll be in. x

No, but they do care what university you go to, so make sure you get good enough marks to get into a good one. Med schools care about MCATs, not SATs.

virginia_maryland

probably, very important
