  • Answer:

I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors in Management Information Systems. I'm currently a IT Business Analyst and I was hired about a month before graduating (started right after I graduated). I also live in the Atlanta Metro Area and from my research. Silicon Valley, Atlanta, and Washington D.C. are the hottest spots for IS, IT, etc.

I have an MS IS without totally unrelated undergrad degree, and a gazillion years of unrelated Army experience. Granted I may not be the type of candidate that you would prefer to respond, but I will try to help anyway. Start looking now. Seek out internships. Seek out technical recruiters, volunteer for projects. Consider pursuing professional certifications soon. Call around and start networking. CSC.com and Mantech.com sometimes have internships. Linkedin.com is a good place to network. careerbuilder.com, dice.com, monster.com, indeed.com, and jobs2careers.com are good places to look for jobs. submit your resume and then try to contact the employers. consider joining local user groups for the technologies that you are interested in, show up, smile, and ask questions; people like to help people.
