    I've read about Software Engineering being among the most explosive jobs through 2018. Which explains why I'm in the middle of applying to a Masters in Software Engineering program, as well as a Masters of Applied Computer Science with an Information Assurance track. Honestly Comp Sci will always be in demand in this country, sure you can outsource some IT stuff here but you can't outsource it all. If that was the case then I wouldn't have seen a whole Software Engineering department (filled with some Indians I might add that they actually brought to Disney; not all Indians though) when I was a contractor for Disney doing Tech Support. If nothing else though you can teach at a Community College with a Masters. The one where I got my A.S. in Networking pays $50K to start with no experience, just a Masters. I realize it's not $100K but my point is, you can survive on $50K.

Software is big industry ytou really dont have to wory about out sourcing, you will stand of value only if you prove it yourself,and when you graduate there is NO ONE IN WORLD who will give you middle level job directly unless you are having 3-5 years of experience earlier. Average person with comp sci makes average of 100 k. Its hard stuff to do, college is hard no matter what you are learning, there are points within where you will fall asleep, only to realize this was important thing I should have listened but then you have to study it all by urself! and its not abstract besides think if you have interest in it take a test or something for starters to see whats your own liking.
