Almost all jobs that pay well require that you know your skills, fill skill gaps and generally learn well. Lots of people who are moderately good at math and other problem solving have gotten there with little natural talent and lots of hard work. Very few, unusual individuals have much skills at math without lots or practice. Consider rolling up your sleeves to practice a bunch.
