What is political science, and what jobs are based on this?

    It is the study of government political systems. Generally it mainly studies the system of the country the school is located, but it also studies other countries systems. Job: Politics of course, including diplomatic jobs, local, state and federal jobs. Teaching is often the main area. Teaching social studies, history and Polysci (it's nick name) are some of the courses. But with a degree in Polysci you can find jobs in many different fields. It's a good major for college. Generally Poly Sci grads end up not making enough to even pay their student loans. It seldom leads directly to a job. It is only really any good for a bachelor's degree to get you into MBA or law school.

Political Science is a major in college that involves courses about the government, law, and of course politics. At my school the political science major allow people to also uphold a minor. Depending on what your minor is what job you can go into. I am assuming you can work at basic government officejobs with this major. Alot of people take political science and then go into law school. Then they get into politics and work at law firms.

Political science is really studying politics, political techniques, political history, and how it effects society. My brother is a freshman at UC Davis who is majoring in it. You can get jobs in city government like city planner, councilman, mayor, etc. Or if you're lucky reach the level of state senate or even US Senate
