    Maybe you could check local hospitals and the local red cross to take a babysitting training course. That would probably help when you talk to parents. It should be free, or not too much. I'm not sure that I would advise looking on the web. Maybe use your parents for social networking. Surely they know of some couples that want an adults only Friday night date. Or, post at your local church or groups that your family is involved in. Also, once you do a baby sitting job, ask if you can use them for a reference.
