You need to get with a free employment counselor - I recommend your state's workforce commission. Honorable military service will give you a veteran's preference for federal positions. www.usajobs.gov is the best place to search/apply for federal positions - do your research though and get smart about the grade level and qualifications for each position. Competition is fierce and you're wasting time if you just apply "because" you need a job. State gov'ts are always hiring, but again you will benefit from a counselor's assistance. Google your state's gov't website and then find the workforce agency. Good luck...
