  You'll have to figure out who's got the trash contract in the area where you're interested in working. Take a look at the trucks that go by. If they say "City of Miami DPW" then you'll have to apply to be a city employee. If they say the name of a private trash hauling firm, then that's who you'd have to contact and see if they're currently hiring.
