A state police check is very general and any crime/offense he has committed under age or 5 years prior wont show up. The FBI check show EVERYTHING from parking tickets to warrants. If he has done it at the age of 8, it will be on there trust me. We don't want someone that can't pay their child support coming to Oz cause if he can't even pay that he wont pay our taxes so trust me...they will check! A anonymous tip is always a nice gesture to scum that doesn't pay child support as well. I know it worked for my sister. Just make sure it is all documented through to Child Support Agency.

A search for misdemeanor type crimes and offenses can be requested. Years covered in search varies by country. Available for the following countries: American Samoa Antigua Argentina Aruba Austria Australia Bahamas Barbados Belgium Bermuda Bolivia Brazil Canada Cayman Islands Chile China Colombia Cook Islands Costa Rica Denmark Dominican Republic Ecuador Egypt El Salvador England Fuji Finland France Germany Ghana Great Britain Greece Greenland Guam Guatemala Guyana Hong Kong Hungary Iceland India Indonesia Ireland Israel Italy Jamaica Japan Kenya Korea Malaysia Mexico Netherlands New Zealand Nicaragua Nigeria Norway Pakistan Panama Peru Philippines Poland Puerto Rico Romania Russia Saudi Arabia Scotland Singapore South Africa Spain Sweden Switzerland Taiwan Thailand Trinidad/Tobago Ukraine United Kingdom Venezuela Virgin Islands Yugoslavia. State Includes: County criminal record searches in the USA are available for all counties in the 50 states of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, District of Columbia (Washington DC) and Puerto Rico. Manual searches are the most comprehensive. County criminal record searches are conducted on premise using more of the subjects personal information than just simply entering a name into a computer database. The US court system is structured by states and counties. There are over 3100 counties in the US. Onsite court searches give you the ability to check any county in the US for criminal records. Results may include filing date, case number, charges and sentence. Covers a 7 year history, felony and misdemeanor. These searches are generally conducted manually and on-site and give you the opportunity to get detailed records including state police arrest records, suspended sentences, dismissals, probation, incarceration records and those involved in pre-trial intervention. State Criminal records search returns, results from state police and criminal records database. Please note that some cities or counties may not report all records to the state police so it is recommended to add a county search in addition to, a state search. The US Department of Justice conducted a survey of prison inmates in 1991. They found that crimes were usually committed near the criminals’ homes and that 43% of inmates were in prison for crimes committed in their own neighborhoods. If the subject is a criminal it is likely that a record will be uncovered when all jurisdictions where he or she has lived are checked. Therefore it is recommended to check criminal records in each county where the person has lived.

a FBI digs way deeper and will find anything, state/city checks just do things within the last 8-10years. FBI if you ever did something its on their 99% of the time. some people get lucky and will tell me something that maybe on their and its not. but most of the time people are not lucky!! state just does the state and FBI is all over the world.

The level of security. The FBI requires a greater amount of information because it's a Federal job and in some case natioal security is involced.

In years past in my state, only certain offenses were sent to the FBI and most were sent to the state police. This was in the days of the ink fingerprint cards - so you may have some offenses that are on your state CQH and some on the FBI CQH from days long ago. Today they are sent to both via live scan or similar reporting/printing system.
