  • Answer:

I've never put an objective on a resume in my life. I've hired dozens of people, and I don't like to read them on those resumes either. It shows that you're a person who can't think for yourself, since you so obviously need to follow some arbitrary format that some moron invented to sell books about how to write resumes.

Often, the best objective is no objective. You put down an objective, the reader sees it and says ": we have no such position available" and reads no further. Especially in this economy, you do not want to limit yourself. With no objective, the reader will read on, and there always is the chance he has a position open which he feels might fit you. It may be something you never even though about, but who knows? It may be something you will learn to like and do well at.
