Why we need government job?how it is better than private job?know the perfect answer?

Private sector job: higher pay than public sector, but little, or no benefits or pension; little/no chance for advancement (or at the whim of your employer) Public sector job: lower compartive pay than public sector, but: solid benefits, accrued vacation/sick leave, pension, can take promotional tests for advancement, either within your job series title (i.e., NYS Judicial Clerk I to Clerk II, Clerk II to III), or outside of it. I don't know where that poster got the idea that "gov't work is less work and gold plated pensions" Hope he tells that to his local police force, who put their lives on the line each and every day answering 911 calls in his neighborhood, or tells that to his local fire station, who risk their lives answering calls for burning homes, buildings, and rescuing those trapped inside. If he considers that "less work" then he should become a cop, or fireman, and see if it's "less work."

Government work, compared to private, has better holidays, salaries, lower targets, less work, and gold plated pensions. (Sorry Overruled - in the UK, every civil servant past the very frontline services get a far better working deal than the equivalent in the private sector. My original answer may have generalised a touch...)
