You might like Amnesty International. They have volunteers who coordinate teams of people to write letters to other countries trying to get prisoners out of jails.

Is there a United Cerebral Palsy in your area? They may have a children's program you could volunteer at. Church day care centers and schools are another possibility. Pediatric hospitals might use you as a candy striper. What about assisting at an after-school program? You could plan and organize activities and events. For more ideas, look in your local Yellow Pages under Oganizations or Social Services. Or ask at your library for the non-profit organizations in your area. Or call your local congressperson or town hall and ask if they could use you as a volunteer.
