How can the Job Centre expect people to apply for jobs when there aren't any in the economy?

unlike one hundred years ago your country does NOT need you you look after yourself there are plenty of jobs you aren't trying hard enough start at the bottom we have heard it all so many times my original statement stands your country does not need you that is what everybody is saying look after yourself and it stinks remember the age old adage women and children first not today mate gentlemen we are not

A couple of analogies for you. Given the choice with only these options would you rather have to walk around naked in public, or wear clothes that don't fit? If you have a family, would you rather be offered a house where they had to share rooms but had a roof over their heads or make them live on the streets because you could not get a house where everyone had their own room & privacy? Why the beef about jobs that 'don't fit'? That's a get out clause for people who don't want to work. If the job doesn't fit you get in there and you make it fit. If there are not enough hours you work to make the employer respect you enough to give you more hours. Or take a second job. The onus is on you to get any where in life.
