What questions can i expect to receive on a non profit job interview?

  • Answer:

Pretty much the same questions as you'd get on a for-profit interview. There will be some questions about your experience in the areas you'll be working in, and they might also probe your thoughts on volunteers and what issues you might expect when your "employees" are volunteers and how you'll deal with them.

Ignore the idiot's answer, not all people working at a not for profit are liberals. Of course they'll ask the standard job questions - challenges you have faced, how you deal with problem solving, projects you have worked on, leadership skills, etc. They'll probably also ask you about your specific interests in volunteering, community service, etc. Then also, they may ask about the path that led you to choose to interview with that not-for-profit in particular. Good luck!

i would expet questions relating to volunteer work and what you are prepared to contibute towards the objectives of not for profit organisation.

Depends on what your going to be doing or what kind of business. The questions will be tailored to the kind of work. Is this a paid or volunteer position? They may ask you why you want to work there and if you have any previous experience in non profit organizations. Most will be tailored to the position (ex: secretary- ask about your skills, etc).
