  Try looking for an apprenticeship. This will allow you to work, earn money and get a qualification all the same time. Also, when you begin an apprenticeship it is assumed that you will not have any experience as you're there to learn. Some sectors of work will require a pre-apprenticeship before you begin the actual apprenticeship and so that could be worth looking in to also. Volunteering is a really useful when to gain experience if you have the time and resources. Roles which deal with direct client care are very beneficial as they allow you to gain communication skills (customer service) and as pointed out by another answerer, you can gain retail experience by volunteer in a charity shop. Also think it's worth noting that when a position opens up in an organisation which uses volunteers, they tend to offer the positions to volunteers first before they advertise it to the public.
