First and foremost you have to be able to handle rejection. Secondly you have to be outgoing and sincere. I was a banker - and bored to tears. So, I did a lot of research and decided that I needed a change. Now, I can't wait to get to work( At home) and I love what I do. I am an Equipment Leasing Broker. Basically, I bring together people who want to lease equipment with people who have money to lend. In today's world, with banks being so scared to lend, I am making more money than ever. well you need to be good at talking to people and manipulating.....you have to show people that if you buy this product or enter this venture it will better your life....but you also have to sound confidant and talk to them like they are your friend....you can not be shy at a sales job.....when you talk you have to smile....do not sound dull or boring...if you do then the person will get bored of you....most of the time when a person buys something from a sales person its because they liked that person.....i highly recommend that you read 'How to win friends and influence people' by Dale Carnegie
