    Either way is good. You will have a lot of options in that field. Be sure to get a internship for what you like to do. Because a lot of ad companys are looking for a advertising major or marketing major. They also want to see if you have done an intern. I know people working in that area and they start off with good pay.

Take it from someone who has a degree in Marketing. The job demand is not that high and for the positions that are in high demand, they want you to have at the very LEAST 5 years of marketing or advertising experience. Sucks! But yeah a minor in marketing would be a good choice if your major is in advertising.
