I worked at a Macy's in NY as a parttimer.. I started off at $8. I recommend trying the women's shoes department, as you will make nice commission there. The person above me is incorrect, not all departments run on commission. The only commission departments are men's suits, luggage, cosmetics and fragrance, and shoes.

I dont know how much Macy's pay but Macy's sucks. I applied for a job at Macy's and had an interview with HR. Then I got a email saying no position. Then last Week a guy named Michael called me to come interiview at cliaque costmetic session for Friday March 7. I was so happy. Today is March 6 I sent him a text to confirm my appointment and he said all positions are filled. I was shock and very upset. If I did not text him, he would not let me know. Then when I go in tomorrow's interiview, I would just be sent home. Macy's is very unprofessional. I replied to him and he said he was going to call me when he came in as an excuse. I am telling you everyone do not apply jobs at Macy's. Macy's sucks. I saw some review online bad review about Macy's but I did not believe it but now I do. They dont treat people right. I hate Macy's.
