I get a good amount of sleep, so why do my eyes look tired?

even though you are getting sleep it might not be quality sleep. If replacing your mattress is out of your budget you could try taking a small nap about an hour before bedtime...it sounds weird but it triggers the hormones and brain waves needed to give a good nights sleep. Keep the nap to about 15 minutes, any more than that and you will slip too deeply into sleep and your regular sleep cycle will begin. It could also be your nutrition, take a look at what you are eating/drinking. Caffine though it energies you will actually dehydrate your body....drink more water. It could also be your body's natural clock. If you are a night-owl, no matter what you do you will look tired until after dark. If you are normally one of those annoying morning people and you are looking tired I would try taking out an hour of sleep. There is such a thing as getting TOO much sleep.

Do you wear glasses? If not, you might see an eye doctor, if you are straining your eyes they tend to look very tired, watery and swollen. If you do wear glasses you may still check with your eye doctor as the prescription you have may not be effective any longer and your eyes are straining, when that happens they tend to look tired.

Allergies will make your eyes dark underneath. If this could be an issue, try Allegra, or a prescription med. If you're talking about bags, it sounds weird, but Pamela Anderson uses Preparation H (tube, not cloths) under her eyes, as do many stars, and I've actually had success with it.

Maybe just need a little makeup refresher? Either that or quit the funny cigarettes at lunch!

the real question is do u wear makeup?? if so that's what could be making your eyes look so tired... or you might need some type of eye cream!
