How to dress for a restaurant job interview?

I am going on a job interview tomorrow at a restaurant...how should i dress?

  • the manager knows i am coming from school so i dont think he is expecting anything much.

  • Answer:

At the least business casual wear, I used to manage a restaurant. If I had someone come in wearing what most high school and college kids wear now, I didn't even go through with the interview. If it is important to you, dress like it is.

Professional and neat and clean. Trousers and a buttoned down shirt. Nothing too revealing or too casual. Dress as if you were a restaurant manager. Simple makeup, remove piercings (other than ears) and cover any body art. Check your fingernails and shoes. Make sure you look like you are clean and well groomed.

Just wear something kind of nice to school tomorrow. Make sure that you don't wear too much makeup. And don't put on a gallon of perfume.

Not sure what your wardrobe allows for but as long as you make an efofrt to look smart ( not in casuals) as the 1st suggest formal wear is best!)

wear some slacks and a clean polo style shirt. Don't go too dressy as if u were going on an interview for an office job. just dress casual, just not too casual (jeans and a t-shirt).

It's an interview, so you should really put on a suit. If you can't since you are coming from school, at least change into a skirt and a blouse, or a nice sweater.

duoak

nice white blouse, black skirt/ trousers

sweety

If you have to ask, sweetie, then i doubt that you are responsible enough to work. The most that I could expect is that you will not have your belly hanging out and the tattoos will be covered. DUH!!

FlaChic

short skirt, mostly unbuttoned blouse and no bra or underwear. if its not mostly cocktail waitressing then you can use one more button, but I wouldn't if I was a girl and wanted to get things my way.

Dress nice and neat, conservative and act confident. I hope you get the job! =D
