  • Iam very frustated and nervous in job interviews How I can get prepare for better interviews

  • Answer:

You not prepared. Answer those questions and it will calm you down: What kind of work do you like (or dislike) most of all? What did you like most at your previous position? What was you main mistake at your previous working place? What are your hobbies? What are you life ambitions? How are you planning to reach and satisfy your ambitions? What would you like to change in the past of your life? How much money would you like to earn?

same as me, everytime i tell myself to calm down (at first i was fine, sitting there waiting the interviewer) but once they arrive, my heart beating very fast and make myself shaking even my voice. (i did all to control myself, deep breath relax. nothing could work) at last, i realized, practice makes better. try to do more interviews, you will find the way. (up to now, i tried 6 interviews, and i feel myself not that nervous as b4 now)

Find a interviewing book that lists the twenty most commonly asked questions. Go through each of the questions and write out an answer. Give it a few days, think about it and edit it a few times. You will see variations of those questions in nearly any interview. You will see, tell me about your three best attributes...don't first consider the question when it is asked. Anticipate the hard questions that an employer might ask. (put yourself in their shoes) Why did you drop out of college? What were you doing for those six months between jobs? Write out questions that you want to know about your employer, the job they are offerring, etc that you truely want to know before you accept the job. Do people fail at this job? Why do they? Describe the corporate culture. Etc, etc. Dress conservatively (unless it is a creative field) and a little more formally than you would expect to show up for work daily. Make sure your clothes fit well - not too big or small. Spend some time with an upscale department store sales person if you are uncertain about you own ability to put together a well-fitting outfit. If your employer does not notice your clothing, it is much better than them thinking poorly of you. Get plenty of rest, make sure you are not rushed, map out the location, know where you are supposed to go. Reherse some of the points you wrote out above. Think of five things I really want them to know about me before I leave this interview today. Finally loosen up. Try to relax and have fun with the interview. Imagine this is a friend of a friend with whom you have a sincere interest in getting to know. With all of the preparation above, you'll do great. Good luck.

When I used to apply for jobs, it seemed that employers liked a little bit of nervousness. Maybe it helps you too look as though you are not a know-it-all and that you are open minded.

Practice, practice, practice. And, as already suggested, go to interviews for jobs that you probably are not interested in. It will give you practice, and you might even find a good match for the company and you.

This didn't happen overnight for me but I've learned to focus on being calm. Don't expect anything. Do you get nervous about going to the market? Probably not, because you don't put any pressure on yourself to perform. Same thing with a job. Consider it like going to a market where it isn't just a one-sided affair. You are there to check them out as they are to check you out. Try to write down questions way in advance and try to memorize them, and don't be afraid to take them with you. Even the best hitter in baseball failed 6 times out of every ten.

take a public communication course, have more confidence--if they don't take you, what else have you got to lose? And once you do a lot of interviews, you won't be nervous anymore.

Relax and be yourself.

Honestly - have a drink. Don't get rolling drunk, but one beer or glass of something really works. Just make sure you have a mint afterwards.
