What do you like to do? Go find a job in that field and you will feel much better. Even if it doesn't pay much, it is still more than not having a job. In the long run if you like what you do, you will feel better about yourself.

Go out and pound the pavement so to speak. Get a job. Any job. Get 3 or 4 interviews. Good luck.

I would send your resume to everyone in the phone book. It does not matter if they have an ad in the paper, send them your resume anyway. What do you have to lose? That is how I found my current job. They were going to put an ad in the paper for my position, but they decided not to after receiving my resume.

Well at least get a job. Not everybody can get what they want right away, you just have to keep working on it.

You know, when I was examining the college world, I was told that the study of economics was important. I heard that arts students would be out of luck when they were knocking on doors in the workforce. I didn't care, I wanted to be a playwright, and I began a study program of dramatic arts. The commerce students boasted that they would be the employable ones, including my dormitory roommate. Soon enough, money was already becoming an issue and I left my position in academics. I have never had any success whatsoever in any career field and I make ends meet by scraping by thanks to a disability pension the provincial government was good enough to grant me. Ultimately I did enrol in a community college program where I qualified for a general arts & science diploma but I understand that it is difficult to market such a thing. Yes, I am a born loser and I could have made studies that would conceivably have bore potential for me someday. I knew it was important and I completely avoided doing the right thing. My self-esteem has taken quite a hit but I have begun to salvage it with one thought: being cool. Look at the things going on in your life which are cool and feel good about those. You might be able to pull together a career yet anyway and even if it never happens you have your little reserve of cool to fall back on which eventually you can let go of in favor of emotional maturity, which is a valuable asset regardless of what career success you have (or haven't) had.

It depends on the degree you have. I know some people that have pHd's and are flipping hamburgers, making pizzas, or frying chicken. Really! I also know people with degrees and get better paying jobs in something different than their degree field. My son has degrees out the ying yang, certified in over 10 of them. And works as a truck dock foreman. He's not a loser, and I feel you are not either. I have 3 degrees. Worked for 30 years in electronics, but made my living in cattle and oil. I don't feel like a loser either. Neither should you. So, branch your mind out a little. Knock on a few doors. One will open.

How are you supporting yourself? Are you still living at home with your parents? Have paid all of your student loans off? It sounds like you are going through a depression, get up and out the door. Look around, and see all of the people who wish that they had half of what you have today. Go and submit your resume at a temporary job agency. This will give you an opportunity to try out different jobs to see what's exciting to you. What was your major in college? If money is not an issue, do volunteer work for a month at an organization that you approve what they are doing for the world.
