How do you make a sunburn stop hurting without using aloe vera because i tried that and it doesnt work?

Sun burn is the same as any other burn - you'll not stop it hurting as you have damaged the skin. You can help cool it down with cold water or sooth it with the usual creams but all you can really do is wait for your skin to heal. Also, make sure you drink plenty of water to replace the fluids you've lost.

My Gramma always put a cloth that was soaked in strong tea on my back when I was a child. Now I use Lanacain spray for burns

soak in a tub with cool water and oatmeal

Try noxema

Try vinegar. Don't use anything fat based, like certain lotions have. And it depends on how bad your sunburn is, but shouldn't last any more than a few days.

Take a cold bath or shower, and stay inside if you can. Sometimes a sunburn will last a day and sometimes a week, it depends on your skin. But just think, you'll have a lovely tan afterwards!

Use vinegar and water. Trust me I know. I get burned riding in the car! Anyways, put about 1/2 jar of vinegar in the sink with about 2 cups of water and then soak wash clothes in the vinegar mixture and lay them on you where you are burned. Pulls the heat out. P.S. you will smell like a pickle until you shower! :o)
