Why is Wilson's mouth always covered up?

Why was Derren Brown's mouth covered when the lottery numbers were being revealed?

  • It looked like his mouth was moving, was he speaking to someone???

  • Answer:

Because he couldn't believe he had got them right perhaps. Stop doubting him, he said he'll tell us how he did it on friday. I played the lottery yesterday and got 35 right, i recieved signals from his advert.

Disbelief? Nerves? Shock? Anxhiety? I don't know. I didn't notice his mouth moving myself. I can honestly say I noticed nothing suspicious about the footage myself... but everyone has all these theories. I've followed Derrens work for years, I trust him, he'll let us know asmuch as he can let us know. I know he is partly an illusionist, but Im not sure that camera tricks are really his thing to be honest.

Don't know, but it is a little odd, so we'll probably find out it DID have something to with the predictions. I wonder if he is reading all the stuff people have been saying, sitting back with a smug smile on his face!

halitosis i think it's called

I agree his deffo doing something with his hand over his mouth and I think he looks as though he is taking something out of his mouth when he moves his hand down. Perhaps he is whispering something that will be played during the reveal. The camera at the back will probably show whats happened as well as that was not used during the draw. Cant wait to find out!! Thanks Derren for messing with our heads again!!

i didnt see that- ill have to watch it again, im still trying to figure out how he did it other than camera trickery or a delay on lottery side, as then hed be able to find out the numbers and then play lotery programme at same time as his and pretend he didnt already know the results edit----- yes i know it was on at the same time i was watching both but if youd read what i said then youd have understood! if the bbc was on a delay he could have been told the numbers before his programme even started! how do we know the bbc is 100% on time. that could have been on a 5 min delay or something.......

he was just covering his mouth as though in shock, what would it help if he was talking to someone, they couldn't do anything about it if he was wrong because he already had the numbers picked out on that stand. And it definatley wasn't any kind of camera delay or anything like somebody above suggested because if you turned over to channel 1 then you'd of realised that the lottery was on live at exactly the same time that derrens program was.
