Lay on your back and pull your knees up to your chest and wrap your arms around your legs. Then just roll back and forth from head to toe. It stretches and relaxes the back muscles.

go to the doctor and see what the problem is first. If there is a serious problem you could make it worse by stretching or exercising. Go to the chiropractor they will work on your back and it will feel better.

God knows ......^^^^^ has a good point. It really depends on the back pain. I had sciatica for years and stretching my hamstrings and lower back for 30 minutes a day helped tremendously.

My doctor tells me to squat and hold it for a few minutes and to do it every hour. This position is supposed to get everything back in line and relax the muscles. Just picture a primitive person squatting and you'll have it right. If it's difficult at first put on some shoes that have a slight heel to keep you from tipping over.

stand on one foot. slowly bring the opposite knee towards your chest bending slightly at the waist. alternately you can stand on one foot and rest the other above the knee of the leg you're standing on. that's just me though. good luck!!
