How Do You Treat a Jammed Infected Finger?

The jam can only be iced. If you do have an infection inside then you need antibiotics. Since it sounds like there is no open skin, you will need to go to the doctor to get a prescription.

If it is infected then you should go to the doctor. Depending on broken skin and how you jammed it they will give you either amoxacillian or a tetnus shot. As for your finger you need to splint it. They sell them at walgreens or you can do it the old way with a popsicle stick and some medicle tape.

TCP or other anti infection solution, keep clean and dry, do not put a bandage or plaster on it. Keep apply TCP (or alternative) regularly. If it is infected it will be apparent and will ooze/swell if it is bad see a doctor for some antibiotics.

you need to put meds (neosporin) on it. if it doesnt get better you might have to go to the doctor to get it looked at. (they cant do much but they can give you ideas of what you can do)

Do you have any disinfectant? If so use that, or perhaps you might have an antibiotic cream, for example fucidin cream. If you put that on quite regularly, it should work.

Lots of antibiotic cream. Soak in epsom salt and warm water. Keep it clean. Doesn't heal, see a doctor.

If it's actually infected you go to the doctor for antibiotics

if it's infected put some neosporin on it or something. and If its jammed, there isn't much to do about that part.

yh put some cream on it to cool it down. dont overuse the finger too
