In your opinion, has the quality television shows gotten better or worse over the past 5 years?

Its turning to **** day by day by ******* day. The only message I get from television shows is that having sex is the cool thing to do, and you should do it everywhere and anywhere, with anyone at any age. I dont mind the violence, what I really hate is CSI, my duaghter was interested in becoming a forensic scientest so we watched alot of those types of shows, it was ok at first, now evey god damn show they are showing people sport *******, I say sport ******* becuase there is no love involved, it seems like if you want to have fun, have sex, my duaghter is 12 years old. It doesnt stop there, many times I am watching a great movie and i am loving it, then here comes the goddamn sex scene, I have to admit, yea I watch porn, so what, but when I want to watch porn I do just that, when i watch TV I want to just watch Tv, I dont need to see kids making out/having sex/having oral sex/humping or any thing that resembles sex. There is way too much emphasis on sex in TV, it really, really ******* pissed me off. Then you have shows like Ms New york or whatever that "hoes" name is saying its ok for you to slob 7 guys in a matter of 7 minutes on a T.V show that claims you are looking for MR right. Really?? Then there are the guys that sign up to compete for this "hoe". What messages are these shows sending to my gullable 12 year old duaghter, even worse are the bachelor shows where you have women competeing for 1 man, have some ******* self respect, a little bit of modesty goes along way. Even the shows that are supposed to be kid friendly are a joke, dont know her name but some chick took a picture of herself with a long shirt on and what looks like no underpants, my duaghter watches this shyt, I had to sit her down and explain how that is a nasty thing to do, first off these women must think that they are only worth what their body has to offer, and then turn around and complain that men treat them as a piece of meat, myspace shows a picture of a huge ***, nice **** and I'm supposed to say to myself, wow, she seems like a sweet girl, I want to get to know her, **** off. I'm all sorts of pissed off, having a duaghter really changes how a man see's things, if a chick sat down in front of me and my duaghter and did not cross her legs, dont care whether you have pants or shorts under that skirt, it really pisses me off. I think women just piss me off, maybe its not the damn T.V shows, sorry.

I think it has become bad influence. You would have never ever seen so mush violence and pornography in the older days. People were still decent but nowadays that is all you see on tv.. I love watching tv but stuff like allot of porn on every channel puts me off.

HELL NO!! Most TV shows are POINTLESS!!! One movie I liked that had a message-was almost the ONLY one....."Why Did I Get Married?" Another show, I didn't like it personally, but it had a message. Friends. After these, I basically STOPPED watching TV, and started building cars again....everything on TV was, pardon my term, retarded. However....I do watch Family Guy.

Some nights, and they are becoming more frequent, it's like Bruce Springsteen's "57 channels and nothing on". If I see even a hint of another reality show.........

they too violent, too pornographic and/or too 'hyped up' with over-the-top shock value the messages were way better years ago this shows today dont show the consequences and what u really have to worry about once you make a mistake

I think they are way too violent and unrealistic. what are the odds that you're going to be on a show, competing with 10 straight guys and 10 bi/lesbian girls for a chance at love with 2 "confused" attractive twins. [A Double Shot at Love] Violent; While I enjoy watching Family Guy and South Park, their language and violence seems to go uncensored. children nowadays swear on the streets, have casual sex at young ages, etc etc. I blame part of it on tv. and yes, I went there.

Significantly worse. They're pushing the envelope of decency, and reality shows have had their 15 minutes already.
