I've had a 3rd ear piercing since august 07 but now i noticed a swelling and it hurts. what do i do?

it's probably infected.. see the person who did the peircing for help.

Take the jewelery out.

take it out and clean it thoroughly then go back to where ever they pierced it or the doctor clean it with what ever they gave you or "surgical spirit" x

go to the doctor - it's probably infected. but don't freak out, it's not an emergency! take the peircing out and clean the area w/ alcohol or even better- ear peircing cleaning solution (they sell it at claire's). then i would keep peicings out of that ear untill you hear what your doc has to say.

Be sure to clean the area with a little mildly soapy water. Apply neosporin if possible, but I wouldn't remove the piercing just yet (it will probably close the hole). I would also recommend calling the shop you got the piercing done at and see if they agree with this course of treatment.

you need to take the earring out, bathe the ear in surgical spirit(or something similar), disinfect the earring and wait for the swelling and hurt to disappear before putting the earring back in.

have 6 piercings in one ear and 7 in the other, i have that problem sometimes too, usually it will go away, but my problem, which could also be yours is the kind of earing you have. I find that cheap earings irritate my skin, i have to have real gold or nickel free earings, try that. if it doesnt work, take the earing out until it heals up, dont worry, your hole wont close, its been pierced long enough.

when i got my third one that happened to me to and i took it off and it closed u should take it off before it gets infected

take it out wash your ear and the earring with alchohol and leave it out fotr a day or two and see how it feels
