How to get rid of bug bite?

I have a bug bite on the back of my knee, think its a chigar bite.....how do i get rid of it????

  • it has been there for about 6-7 weeks now and still itches, i have tried chigaraid but it still hasnt went away....any ideas how to get rid of it???

    I've had numerous chigger bites before. Contrary to popular belief, the chigger does NOT burrow into your skin. The sores will last a long time and will not heal if you scratch! Apply an anti-itch ointment if the spot itches. If you don't see an improvement after a while, then the bite may be infected. In that case, you need to go see a doctor. To prevent chigger bites, wear long pants and close-toe shoes when walking in tall grass. Also, wear a bug repellant (like Deep Woods Off). If you've been bitten, wash the area with soap and water (this gets rid of the actual chigger and cleans the bite), apply anti-itch medication and DON'T SCRATCH!

if it's a chigger bite, put a little bit of clear nail polish over it. that'll take care of it in no time.

a chigger is a type of mite that burrows in your skin. best thing to do is put a dab of clear finger nail polish on it. leave it there for a day or two. the itching will go away, and when you pull the dab of polish off it end up pullin the chigger with it. even if it doesnt, its not harmful and you'll be fine.

bleach put it on there or take a bath in bleach

try to dig it out with a needle or put fingernail polish on it to smother it.......the chigger is still in there
