Can Honey stop the bleeding on your skin when you get cut please?

I cut my finger while cooking 5 min ago, it keeps bleeding, how to get it to stop?

  • I doubt its bad enough for stitches. It was at an angle however so it took off a good, although thin, area of skin. Have bled through two gauze pads already, almost 3.

  • Answer:

Wrap it up tightly in a few gauze pads to put pressure on it and the bleeding should stop. When you know the bleeding has stopped, gently remove the gauze pads or w/e you use and put some ointment on it, preferably neosporin, and put a couple bandaids on it. do the same thing each day until it gets better.

Yeah, I had a small cut on my finger (on the pad of my index) and it didn't stop bleeding... 1.) Keep Pressure on it, it will eventually stop for a while. 2.) Go to a doctors office or hospital. 3.) They can cauterize the wound. Finger cuts like that don't stop bleeding.

Direct, firm pressure. Raise the area above your haert. Continue holding for 5-10 minutes. If bleeding still does not stop, call 9-11 and go to ER. If you feel faint, or unstaedy, or nauseated SIT DOWN immediatelly and call 9-11 you may be going into shick. A loss of too much blood. Source: emt

50 yrs. old MM and still going.

Wrap it tight and hold pressure on it until the bleeding stops. It helps to hold it above your heart.

Put your finger under running cold water for about 1 minute and put pressure on it. Replace the gauze and or use a bandage enough to cover the cut. Leave it alone until the blood dries. If continues, non-stop, call your doctor or go to emergency. If you haven't had a tetanus shot in 10 years, now is a good time to get one. If you notice some kind of infection or if its swollen, you do need to see your doctor.

Wrap it up tight but before you do that make sure it is clean.
