What to do for a bee sting on your foot?

What do you do about a bee sting? I was stung on my foot.?

  • I took a painkiller, and I applied ibuprofen gel. My brother looked on the internet and found that the "baking soda" thing does not actually help. Anybody know anything ...show more

  • Answer:

Take the stinger out with some tweezers, and apply anti-itching cream, otherwise it'll drive you crazy. D: Put a band-aid on it, and it'll soon heal up.

Take out the stinger, disinfect it and put a bandaid to keep further infection away. I got a sting on my palm before by a huge honey bee and I actually didn't feel a thing! The nurse took out the sting with tweezers, disinfected it with a swab covered with vinegar, put a small bandaid on it, and violia, no more. :-D

The baking soda is supposed to be mixed with water left to dry and removed all it's supposed to do is remove the stinger. Which is all you can do. if you have a reaction to it (swelling pain etc) then take some allergenic meds (just get it from the chemist they will know what I’m talking about as I’m not sure if that’s the right spelling.) The main thing is that all the stinger is removed from the skin if any is left it may cause more problems later in the future.

i just pinch myself around the sting so the it doesnt hurt that much and the i get out the stinger with a needle and just wait until it doesnt hurt anymore.

Normally i would say at the beginning when you have the marks you have to put cream on it straight away but you have not and you could be having a allergic reaction i would suggest you go and see a doctor because this could get serious!go as soon as possible good luck recovering! Btw if you can't get to the doctor's apply ice and try and get the stinger out with a sharp edge. You could be allergic if you haven't been stung by a bee before aswell.

just put some hashed garlic on it, rub it , it will help to absorb the poison ( the pain source ) from the spot

Vinegar. It relieves the pain. Also make sure to clean it! It could get infected. If anything abnormal occur's go see a doctor, for it could be an allergic reaction

take a benadryl or similar allergy med and use anti-itch cream. unless you are severely allergic, a sting on the foot won't cause too much trouble, but it will be sore for a little while (and probably a bit swollen)

manwithoutamoustache

basically treat it like any other bee sting....any anti-itch cream...and ice to compress the swelling....but the most important thing is the anti-itch cream!!

Hahahah same thing happened to me last year. I just put ice on it until the pain went away and after that I was fine, it was barely swollen. Just wait it out I guess.
