If the splinter is small many doctors would advise leaving it alone. The body will eventually surround it with white cells (pus) and it will be expelled. You an speed this up by poulticing with magnesium sulphate paste, you an but this from the chemist.

i always use a plaster on the kids. make sure you place the sticky part over the area and leave overnight.replace if necessary usually 1or 2 days works to draw it out.

Soak your thumb in warm salt water Then put on magni sum of s ulfer and cover with a plaster .do that each day until it draws it up Then break the skin and try getting it out with tweezers

Try rubbing a cotton ball on it, sometimes it will get caught on the fibers and come out. Otherwise just dig it out, it will heal.

glue paint it on let it dry and then pull it off in the direction the splinter is running xx

If tweezers or a steralised pin can't get it out then i've heard wrapping an elasticated plater on over night should draw it out

If you have any very sticky tape you could try gently dabbing the sore area, if you squeeze the sides of the finger away from the sore area, the splinter may become exposed ready for removal.

Method #1. Soak hand in nice, warm water, try to kind of pry it out with a sterilized needle. Be careful so you don't poke yourself. Method #2. Leave it alone. Most minor splinters will actually be expelled by the body as it heals. Whatever you do, use a triple antibiotic cream. Maybe ice will help it to feel better. Hey, maybe Orajel will help numb it!

If you really can't see it to pull it out with tweezers, make a kind of poultice to suck it out with by putting a big blob of antiseptic cream on it and covering it with a waterproof plaster (one that seals all the way around). Leave it for as long as you can (at least 12 hours). This will soften the skin and hopefully draw out the splinter.
