Why does Kelly Ripa on Live with Regis and Kelly talk about herself the whole time?

Maybe because Regis has been doing it for years

It is a rather mindless chit-chat program. The format is set up to be a conversation between Regis and Kelly, interjected w/their ideas of 'humor.' I think she was very cute and original when she first started, but they have made her into another Kathie Lee; very scripted and Hollywoodish. I think she tries too hard to constantly say something funny. He's a crusty old curmudgeon who needs her to make him look good. I think their audience is made up primarily of retired people who watch a lot of TV.

I stopped watching when she started the SHOW. SORRY she is So Damn Annoying. I can't STAND Mark on Oprah's Live Friday Show. Wow, He is so annoying too. Oprah made a HUGE mistake adding Mark to the show. I'd rather see Nate on the show every Friday instead of Mark. Kelly Ripa needs to go back to Soap Opera. I think she's gotten a BIG head. She is full of herself. Sorry to say I would NEVER buy anything that Kelly is selling. To see her on commercials is also annoying. I'm going to complain to the Tv networks because I'm tired of seeing her on TV. I pay for my cable! Can you tell I'm NOT a fan of Kelly Ripa? lol I'm sorry but I don't have to put up with seeing this annoying women on every channel. I pay a lot for my cable every Month.

It's supposed to be kind of like a real life conversation so she shares info about her life. Live with R & K is kind of like a show from the 1950s and 1960s. It is kind of what they do. I have watched episodes here and there and there is not else much to talk about besides themselves and what is going out in the world and then they cannot be offensive to anyone.
