Why was the Cadbury's gorilla advert so successful?

The Cadburys advert with the gorilla, am I missing something?

Yeh its totally wierd... I see no connection other than the fatness of hte gorilla and the fatness of the people who eat too much chocolate!

Nothing, but it made you stop and look and think about it, so now you will associate it with Cadbur`ys chocolate. Good marketing.....

Lol i agree fully with you ..... what has a gorilla got to do with selling chocolate ummmmmm the only thing i can relate it to is that they have a hidden message ... something like " eat our chocalate and end up big fat and hairy" ( no puns intended to all you larger than life people out there )
