Can I get my Drivers license earlier?

If I am in South Florida, Miami and I get my drivers license taken away due to some unpaid traffic violation can I get the court date pushed to an earlier date? They give the date for a month later, which is a bit idiotic IMO?

    Courts are generally very overscheduled: a month from now might easily be the earliest opening in the schedule. Yes, it's a pain for you to live without a license for that long ... but the court is under no obligation to make your life easier at its own expense.

Talk to your local city or county Clerk of Courts - I believe you can file a written request (for an earlier court date).  I would also advise that you pay all tickets and associated fees, complete any required programs, etc, before you appear in court.  It should help speed things up.
