Why are intelligent people so often bullied?

Why do a lot of people with Asperger's get bullied?

• I have Asperger's and I was bullied from 3rd grade all the way up to 9th grade. There are people in my class who are quiet and shy like me but were not bullied. Why me?

  There are a lot of people who aren't understanding of other people's disabilities. People are for some odd reason decide if someone has something wrong with them that they can't control for some odd reason they have to make fun of that person. I have a family member with down syndrome and I learned at a young age that people can't control what's wrong with them, and the worst people in the world mock them. I've also yelled at parents for not scolding their children when their children make foul comments. It depends on how people raise their children, because some people teach their children to be more well mannered then others.
