  why do some have black or brown or ginger or blond hair? why are some born limbless or with deformities? why are some born with parts of the brain missing? why are some people born to be pyschopaths? largely its because of genetics,hereditary,neurons misfiring,specific vulnerable pregnancy trimesters fcked up by drugs or alcohol,pre natal brain injury,born addicted to a drug addict,unstable neurobiology, chromosome/DNA faults etc. it is like red hair,many of us so called 'ginger ninjas' have ginger haired parents,but unless the kids get given both ginger genes; they only have a diluted form and the hair colour in the diluted form may not even show any trace to have come from someone with a ginger gene at all,there are slight signs though. forget feeling like have been hard done by-we need to get on with what we have got and make the most out of it. -will have qualities far better than the sisters have ,its not a tragedy to have a learning or intelectual disability,we have a right to be strong and confident about ourselves, we dont have to believe the bullshit we are fed by family,school and society to behave a particular stereotyped way,we need to avoid developing learned helplessness as we arent worthless even if we require a lot of support. be proud of who are,obviously are not able to change self,but can learn better coping skillss and better ways of dealing with people,life etc. being different also gives a more open minded view on disabled/different in some way people. perhaps ask school if can make a club there for people with learning disabilities,it coud be a buddy system for those who want friends and also a way for kids to promote self advocacy and speaking for themselves,and have talks run by various specialists in the school about different topics such as how to deal with bullying,building self confidence,how to avoid becoming a target,how to get further into learning disability advocacy.
