Should the bathroom and bedroom decor match?

I personally like the rooms to match.But reds and purples are beautiful,if you choose the right shades. Have fun with it and to coordinate the bedroom get a couple throws and pillows in those colors. Keep your red more on the burgundy side this and purple will look good with blue.

Do dark colors only if you have enough natural light coming into your bathroom. Purple might go with your blue room and will look kind of different. Use a transitional area in the bathroom where you go from your existing blue color towards purple in the bathroom.

Im no decoration expert, but i would recommend you to use dark blue for the bathroom. That way it wouldnt look too bluish seing as you just mentioned the bedroom is light blue.

those colors would not match at all.it would look funny.you need something to carry the space into the other know if you go with browns in your bathroom that would work .you need something to match the blues and red and purple do not match blue.but you are right to much blue would be to much blue.i would go with the browns i think that would look nice.
