You need to be more specific as to which area you are talking about? What do you mean by "help"? Advocacy, education, employment, financial help? Community level, systemic level, day to day assistance in living? Your question is very broad and you will get only broad answers. There are millions of organisation around the world that help people with disability in some way. Hint: if you are serious about your project... try using better terms than "the disabled" - try using "people first" language. And it is NOT about being politically correct, it is about dignifying the people who have a disability instead if using a "label". Cheers

Not if you life in USA, unless of course you are from another Country, then you can get all the help you want. You don't have to be disabled. You may ask why I say this. I have a brother who was born without one kidney and when he was 18 he had an accident and messed up the good one. Two years ago he had to have a kidney transplant and now he can not work. He has worked all of his life, he is 45. Now they tell him that the most important medicine he takes, they can not help him with. And his check (HA! HA!) that he was getting has been cut out. That is what little bit he was getting. When he went to apply for Food Stamps, which was a disgrace to him. They told him all he could get was 25.00 a month. Did I mention he has 3 Children in school. But at the same time there was 4 Families there from another Country, I won't say which one, but it is South of here, they each walked out with more then 400.00. So again in answer to your question, only if you are not American
